- Household food insecurity in Canada is higher for families with children (17.3 %), in female lone-parent families (33.1 percent) and families receiving social assistance (60.4 percent)37.
- Prevalence of household food insecurity in Canada is 3.7X higher among Inuit; 2.7X higher among First Nations living off reserve; and 2.2X higher among Métis than among non-Indigenous adults38.
